Actress Zawe Ashton, 40, has joyfully announced she is expecting her second child with fiancé and Marvel star Tom Hiddleston. The stunning revelation came through an exclusive maternity photoshoot featured in Vogue on June 7, where the "Fresh Meat" alum dazzled in an ethereal pale blue Emilia Wickstead gown adorned with a flowing cape.
The British actress confirmed plans to debut her pregnancy glow at this weekend's SXSW festival red carpet, sharing heartfelt appreciation for her fashion collaborator: "Working with someone who truly understands this vulnerable yet beautiful moment means everything," Zawe told Vogue. "When you're expecting, public appearances can feel exposing - but Emilia's designs make me feel protected and empowered."
The couple - engaged since 2022 after meeting on the set of West End play "Betrayal" - welcomed their first child later that same year. Both actors have maintained privacy regarding their firstborn's name and gender, though a close source previously told Us Weekly the pair were "overflowing with parental joy despite the sleepless nights."
Zawe's latest maternity look continues her sartorial partnership with designer Wickstead, whom she praised as a kindred spirit: "We connected years ago at the British Fashion Awards over shared perspectives on fashion and femininity," she revealed. "Her creations masterfully balance timeless elegance with modern sensibility - every stitch carries intention."
The New Zealand-born designer returned the admiration, calling their collaboration profoundly meaningful: "Seeing Zawe wear our soft pink design during her first pregnancy was magical," Wickstead reflected. "Now celebrating this new chapter in pre-fall blue feels like completing a beautiful narrative circle." The 42-year-old creative director added: "She embodies everything our brand represents - intelligence, vibrancy and effortless grace."
Hiddleston previously opened up about transformative parenthood during a November 2023 podcast appearance: "Nothing prepares you for how profoundly fatherhood reshapes your world," the Loki star confessed on Happy Sad Confused. "Theoretical knowledge collapses before reality's wonderful intensity."
Fashion insiders note Zawe's pregnancy style evolution reflects contemporary trends favoring bold color statements over traditional pastels. Her caped silhouette channels Old Hollywood glamour while maintaining modern mobility - crucial for navigating festivals while expecting.
Industry observers anticipate this high-profile pregnancy will further cement Ashton's status as a red-carpet force following acclaimed performances in Mr. Malcolm’s List and The Marvels. As summer festival season commences all eyes will be on how this artistic power couple balances parenting duties with their thriving careers – proving that superheroes exist both onscreen and off. With two children under three arriving soon sources say they've converted part of their London home into nursery space while maintaining residences near family support networks.
